The most personal decision involved in any interior or exterior painting project is colour choice. It's important to follow your instincts when selecting paint colour. Decorating your home with your favorite hues is what gives your home its unique personality. •  Exterior

Exterior

A beautiful house is only a few brush strokes away. Before choosing a colour for your exterior, take a good look at the colours of your roof, bricks and landscaping. The colours that you are choosing should compliment these features.

Choose base colour
This colour is for the largest part of a painted surface. Lighter colours will create a bigger presence, darker colours can downsize the appearance. Earthy tones (neutrals and gray tones) blend with the environment not only create a more contemporary, formal look but also have good weather resistance and economical efficiency.

Choose trim colour
Choose colours that are several shades lighter or darker then the body colour, to accentuate the trim. Tour trim colour will be used for window frames, door frames and railings.

Choose accent colour
Your accent colour can be a little bolder. The accent colour is used to draw attention to architectural details like doors or decorative molding.

Interior

The starting point of your decorating project is determining the mood or feeling that you want your room to have. We can create the effects through colour combinations

Chose a wall colour
To make a room appear larger, choose lighter colours for walls. To make a room more compact, choose mid-tone to dark colours for walls. If other rooms are visible from the room you are working on, make sure the colours are compatible.

Choose trim colour
If you use different wall colours for each room in your home, it’s a good idea to keep the trim one colour for continuity. Trim looks best darker or lighter then your wall colour.

Choose ceiling colour
The ceiling does not have to be white! Darker shades bring a high ceiling down, and bright white makes a low ceiling seem higher. Ceiling colours must be lighter than floor colours.
