White Out Exterior Acrylic Application Guide

White Out Exterior AcrylicPaint Tech White Out Exterior Acrylic paint is a premium semigloss water based exterior paint combining UV protection with dirt pick-up and mould resistance. This product is highly recommended for exterior walls.

Use on
Exterior surfaces only, e.g. timber, brick, masonry, concrete and fibre cement board.

Application
Short nap roller, brush or spray. Apply 2 coats of Paint Tech Weather Guard. Apply 3 coats on all unpainted timber surfaces. When applying on very absorbent surfaces thin the first coatwith up to 100ml of water per litre.

Coverage
Approximately 16 square meters per litre , depending on the nature of the surface. Spreading rate on rough or absorbent surfaces will be lower.
Drying and recoating
Normally dries to touch in 30 minutes and may be recoated after 2 hours at 25°C and 50% RH. Under cooler or humid conditions, allow longer times. Do not use in temperatures below 10°C.

Surface preparation
All surfaces to be painted must be clean, dry and free of contamination. In hot and windy conditions or when painting very absorbent surfaces, dampen the surface with water before painting. Surfaces should be sound. To be sure of this cut a small x in the surface to be painted, press sticky tape firmly on to the x and remove tape. If the original paint comes off with the tapethen it is unsound and should be removed. Repeat in random areas around the building to test the surface.

Thinning
Not usually required. On very absorbent surfaces e.g. set plaster, or on very hot days, dampen the surface and thin the first coat with up to 100ml of water per litre.

Clean up
Water, clean equipment immediately after use.

Care of new paintwork
Avoid exposure to steam and condensation for 48 hours after painting. After 7 days the surfaces may be lightly cleaned with a sponge wet with detergent solution.

Safety Directions
Keep out of children's reach. Keep windows and doors open while painting. Provide adequate ventilation during use. Do not poor left over paint down the drain. Keep unwanted paint in sealed containers for disposal via environmentally sound waste collection.
